| Queen size Victorian bed footboard that needed to be restored and converted to a king size, without affecting the integrity of the original. Side rail was propped up to get a sense of the position and to aide in visualizing the solution to the design problem. |

The completed foot section before finishing. The design carried through the moldings and burl panel of the footboard. The base moldings were meticulously coped into the turned footboard corner post and side rail. You can see the inside of the headboard extension in the top left of the photo. |

| Completed headboard. The additions are removeable, and the bed can easily be converted back into a queen size. The extensions were made to be attached into the existing dowel holes and bolting hardware. |
